Hi! I am Katie, a Bit and Bridle Fitter with a huge interest in bit mechanics. The interest started when I was trying to choose the most gentle and fair bit for my then 4-year-old pony, Lola. I struggled to find objective information to become confident in my bitting choices. This led to a project pressure testing bits, and from there, Bit Mechanics Online was born. This evolved further into Equisaurus, encompassing topics beyond bits.

I am also an Equine Massage Therapist with a love of biomechanics and anatomy. I love learning anything and everything horse-related. We owe horses so much, and I endeavour to make it my life’s work to improve the welfare of horses through understanding the equipment we use with them, and understanding their physiology and psychology.
